The Vancouver Youth and Seniors Film Program
The Vancouver Youth and Seniors Film Program is a unique filmmaking workshop that will bring together Vancouver youth and local  seniors through Gordon Neighbourhood House. Through a creative collaboration, the program will celebrate older community members through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new inter-generational relationships.

Ageism is Canada's most widely tolerated form of social discrimination, and the Vancouver Youth and Seniors Film Program is designed to shed light on ageism, challenge assumptions about aging, and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society. The fascinating and un-told stories of the senior participants will be featured at a public screening, and will also be submitted to the Reel Youth Film Festival, and distributed widely online.

You can see the films produced in past programs here: (http://reelyouth.ca/ageismore_whitecliff.html) and here (http://reelyouth.ca/ageismore_appleby.html).
