Update: American Heart in St. Paul, Seattle, and more...

October is a big month for American Heart, with two high-profile screenings on the schedule. First, on October 10, American Heart will screen at Macalester College in St. Paul as part of their 20th Annual International Roundtable. This year's Roundtable is titled "Global Health: Promoting Equity Within and Across Borders," so American Heart is a natural fit! Director Chris Newberry will introduce the film and lead a post-screening discussion. 7pm. More details here.

We're also happy to announce our Seattle premiere at the Social Justice Film Festival, which kicks off a week from today. American Heart will play Saturday, October 12 at the Market Theater (at the iconic Pike Place Market in the heart of Seattle), preceded by short film Beyond Burkas and Bombers. Program begins at 4pm. Spread the word to your friends in the Pacific Northwest! Info here.

what's this?
October is just the tip of the iceberg. As we look ahead to November and December, there are lots of big events on the horizon including more screenings, our television premiere, and the official release of the long awaited American Heart DVD. So stay tuned...

American Heart premiere: remembering that eventful night

Nearly six months ago, American Heart was unveiled at the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival. Check out the Director's Journal entry where Chris Newberry recalls battling a blizzard, learning of the sellout, and celebrating with some very special guests. (SPOILER ALERT!)
