Latest news: national TV recap, and our new endeavor with Honoring Choices

This is Issue #11 of the American Heart newsletter. In this edition, we'll highlight some of the work we've been doing with healthcare clients, and take a look back at our national TV debut. Excited to be working with new healthcare partners

Free Country Media, the production company behind American Heart, has had a busy winter. In addition to spreading the word about the film and its nationwide debut (see below), we've also been working with clients to spread the word about healthcare-related issues. We recently wrapped up work on an educational film project for the University of Minnesota's Global Health Pathway, and now we're on the homestretch of post-production on three outreach videos for Honoring Choices Minnesota.

Both projects have been a natural fit for us, as they boast a multicultural focus. For the Honoring Choices project, we're even working in three languages (Hmong, Spanish, Somali) -- four if you count English! You can check out this news release about the project.

American Heart took to the airwaves in January
What an honor it was to be programmed as an episode of the PBS series America Reframed. American Heart aired nationwide on January 20, and we enjoyed a number of encore broadcasts as well, on the World Channel. We continue to hear from people across the country who were touched by the film. Here's just a taste of what viewers have been saying on social media:

Shining a media spotlight on American Heart

Our national broadcast raised the profile of American Heart quite a bit, thanks in large part to the publicity teams at the World Channel and American Documentary, Inc., who pulled out all the stops to support and promote the film. Be sure to check out this thoughtful piece that ran in the St. Paul Pioneer Press in January. And, if you have half-an-hour to spare, listen to this 30-minute radio broadcast where KFOR host Dale Johnson took on a thorough exploration of American Heart with his guest, director Chris Newberry.
