Join Us For a Taste of The Hive
LESKARD, ON (April 06, 2016) - On April 16th, 2016, The Hive Centre and Bee & Bee will host an Open House from 4-9pm to celebrate a re-launch. Mayor Adrian Foster will be on-site for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4pm.
Like Bees to Honey, people have traveled from near and far to lead, teach and participate in events, workshops and retreats at The Hive Centre and Bee & Bee. Two side-by-side locations, a historical church (The Hive Centre) and a retro executive home (The Hive Bee & Bee), are nestled into 18 acres of the Wilmot Creek Commemorative Forest. Guests report feeling calm, relaxed and even transformed.
For more than a century, The Hive Centre was originally used as a community church in the small, bustling community of Leskard, Ontario. The owners, Kevin Craddock and Elsii Faria, wish to draw on its original purpose – to create community in an inviting and inclusive environment.
The Hive Centre is an Arts and Personal Development Centre with the vision to connect Community, generate Awareness and encourage Growth. Activities are centered on Living an Authentic, Balanced and Sustainable Life as well as the Exploration of Contemporary and Ancient Wisdom, Arts, History, Culture, Eco-Education, Integrative and Holistic Health.
The Hive’s close proximity to many World-Class Attractions, Cycling Routes and Walking Trails, makes The Hive Bee & Bee the perfect place to rest your head and stay a while.
Neighbouring Clarington destinations include Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Brimacombe Ski Resort, Jungle Cat World, Cedar Park Resort, Tree Top Trekking, Black Diamond Golf Club, Tyrone Mills, Archibald Orchard’s and Estate Winery, Ganaraska Forest Centre, Downtown Orono, Greenbelt Cycling Route, and many more.
On April 16th, spend some time at The Hive and see what the buzz is all about. Tour the grounds and facilities, explore the commemorative forest and meet The Hive facilitators. Enjoy live entertainment, light fare and refreshments while connecting with community in a welcoming environment.
