Changes on the RYLA/RYPEN Committee

A couple of significant changes have been under way for almost a year, and have been formalised over the last couple of weeks. Peter Poulton has officially handed the Chair's role over to John Sandham, effective immediately.  John has been working on the committee for the last 10 months. Peter Poulton will remain on the committee for a short time and will also remain the principal contact for the RYPEN Seminar next month. Any other matters can be referred to John.

Peter Hammond has also handed over the treasurer's responsibilities to Mina Ward. Outgoing Chair, Peter Poulton, acknowledged the outstanding support and guidance that Peter Hammond has provided over almost 4 years and thanked him for his hard work and friendship

Rotary Race Day

Rotary International is excited and proud to announce our partnership with the South Australian Jockey Club in the running of our Rotary Race Day.

Rotary is the world’s oldest and largest service organisation made up of over 1.2 million individuals in 215 countries who volunteer to do good in the world.

Rotary clubs bring together dedicated individuals to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action. Our clubs also offer members opportunities to make new friends, and enjoy fun social activities.

Each Rotary club is supported by Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Rotary International supports Rotary clubs worldwide by coordinating global programs, campaigns, and initiatives benefitting communities locally and internationally.

The Rotary Foundation is Rotary’s charitable arm which funds projects by Rotarians and our partners in communities around the world. As a non-profit entity, all of the Foundation's funding comes from voluntary contributions made by Rotarians and friends who share our vision of a better world.

With an expected public attendance of over 5000 people we invite you and your organisation to partner with Rotary at the 2015 Derby Day celebrations

Closing date is 27 March 2015, but clubs that register earlier will be able to negotiate the best locations for their displays.

Rotary Club of Kent Town
Rotary is a worldwide organisation of business, professional and community leaders. Clubs are non-political, non-religious and open to all cultures, races and creeds. Richly rewarding, Rotary gives you the opportunity to pay it forward and to have a positive impact wherever you choose

Getting Involved
While developing business networking opportunities and building life long friendships Rotarians experience personal growth in an organisation that is respected worldwide for its high values and standards.

The magic of Rotary is that it allows ordinary people to achieve the most extraordinary things. By using the powerful synergy of one, people unite to achieve exceptional change. Many ordinary members of Rotary have developed projects that have brought significant change whilst experiencing personal growth in an organisation that is respected worldwide for its high values and standards.
