We are officially in mid-October already are there are LOTS of Calls/Opportunities for you to explore. Here are some notable listings:
Applications are now OPEN for our Fall 2022 MicroGrants & Matchmaker MicroGrants! We are announcing a range of exciting opportunities in film, music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and arts for mental health programming. We are also excited to return our Matchmaker MicroGrant program to all artistic practices. Deadline to apply is October 31st!

  • Call for Auditions - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Theatre Unlimited Performing Arts | Auditions held October 20-22 and October 27-29

    Join Theatre Unlimited Performing Arts (TUPA) on a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car! Based on the beloved 1968 film version of Ian Fleming’s children’s book, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one family-friendly blockbuster that audiences will find Truly Scrumptious. TUPA is delighted to bring this wonderful show to the newly renovated Meadowvale Theatre. Performances run from April 21–30, 2023. Auditions are being held October 20-22 and October 27-29. No prior experience necessary. As a volunteer-based amateur community theatre group for over 30 years, you will be made to feel welcome by a warm group of people devoted to bringing music and live theatre to Mississauga. They welcome all ages 6 to 76+. Behind the scenes opportunities are also available.

    Calling all local musicians - City of Mississauga wants to feature your music on their 311 lines! The Music 311 program features local music on the City of Mississauga’s 311 call queue lines and the Council meeting live stream. The program showcases the talent and diversity of Mississauga’s musicians while helping to build new audiences. Submit your song by October 24 at 5 PM.

The Mississauga Symphony Youth Orchestra is an exciting division of Orchestras Mississauga that offers music education and performance opportunities to young classical musicians. Led by Music Director and Conductor Maestro Denis Mastromonaco, the MSYO has quickly established itself as Mississauga’s foremost youth orchestra.

    Calling all non-professional, youth (ages 9-19) vocalists! City Centre Musical Productions invites you to register for their Eleanor Calbes Memorial Annual Scholarship Vocalist Competition. Prepare to sing one classical or musical theatre song that showcases your vocal ability best for a chance to win the scholarship as a Junior, Intermediate, or Senior vocalist. Competition will be held November 12, 2022, 12 PM at Glenbrook Presbyterian Church (3535 South Common Court, Mississauga).
