Spring - the Light that Returns
To dwell in the here and now does not mean you never think about the past or responsibly plan for the future. The idea is simply not to allow yourself to get lost in regrets about the past or worries about the future. If you are firmly grounded in the present moment, the past can be an object of inquiry, the object of your mindfulness and concentration. You can attain many insights by looking into the past. But you are still grounded in the present moment.

- Thich Nhat Hanh

Wanneer? Zondag 27 mei van 10.00 tot 16.00 uur.
Waar? Maanhoeve, Exloerveen;
Kosten? Dana (vrijwillige gift)
Meer info & Aanmelden? info@demaanhoeve.nl
Darkness, the truest darkness, is not the absence of light.
It is the conviction that the
light will never return.
Light & Dark mini-retraite!

"Of course we know a cloud isn't a flower, but without a cloud, a flower can't be. If there's no cloud, there's no rain, and no flower can grow. You don’t have to be a dreamer to see a cloud floating in a flower."
[from No mud, no lotus - Thich Nhat Hanh].

No mud, no lotus. No dark, no light.

Wanneer? 2 juni 14.00 t/m 3 juni 15.00,

Wake Up Nederland Zomer retraite

If you haven't done so already, then save the date, because you really don't want to miss this!

Wake Up friends from all over the Netherlands will come together again at the Maanhoeve meditation farm for a week of joyfully being together, quiet reflection, meditation, sharing from the heart, music, dancing, walks, hugging the animals and much more :)

Our retreat for young adults aged 18-38 ("ish") is being held for the 9th time this year, and is organised by a group of enthusiastic Wake Up friends.

We will be supported in our retreat process by Wim and Ida (the loving keepers of the Maanhoeve retreat farm) and (probably) dharma teacher Francoise Pottier. They will take care of a part of the programme, and the rest will be facilitated by a group of inspired participants.

We look forward to meeting you (again) this year at the Maanhoeve for 5 wonderful days together!

When? July 11-15th
Where? Maanhoeve, Exloërveen.
Costs? 110-130 € and dana (a donation).

Mannelijkheid

Impulses & Impressions

- br. Phap Dung

"Another way of training stillness is to not react, for example during meetings or in family situations. Just listen. We'll have more space to identify our impulses and impressions, and recognize the pattern. When we see our internal knot and spend time with it in a non reactive way, it can untie. These are the gems of meditation practice. It will change the way we think, speak and act. "

Not a Factory

Help produce over a 1000 T-shirts, made by refugees! The crowdfunding goal has been reached, but you can still order this awesome T-shirt online and support the project:

Turn around the lives of refugees in Greece who are in a desperate situation by wearing this T-shirt – which is not a T-shirt.

About 'Not a Factory'
This is
not a factory. This is taking something difficult and turning it into something beautiful. Something which will change the course of people’s lives. This project will bring refugees and non-refugees together. And by uniting our existing skills, we will learn, grow, and develop.

Therefore...
this is not a T-shirt.

Plum Village Records
is here!

Whether it’s to strengthen singing at weekly sangha gatherings, to share the practice with new people, or to warm the heart, music is at the heart of the Plum Village tradition. Up until now, recordings of music created by the community have mainly been available only as CDs sold at the monastery bookstores. But times are changing and so are we.

To nourish our collective joy, we offer music from the Plum Village community in a new format - online.
