The more terrible the storm,
The more necessary the anchor.
David Jeremiah mentioned this quote by William S. Plumer in one of his daily devotionals. He concluded his thoughts for the day by saying, "God may not always keep us out of hard places, but He is always with us. A hard place with Him is better than an easy place without Him." Good thoughts as we start a new week!
New Easter solos!
As promised, we have a couple new Easter piano solos for you. The first one is an arrangement of "Christ the Lord Is Risen Today." The difficulty level is medium to intermediate. Then Jan did a new kid's piano arrangement of "At the Cross." It has a first verse and chorus in the key of C with an optional second verse in F. The child can use this second verse to make a longer piano solo. Go to FREE STUFF! to download these solos. We've got about a month until Easter, so enjoy!
More "Free Stuff!"
We have several things that we hope are of interest to you. The first is a web article called, "How to Write a Song in 10 Steps." It's for someone who may be interested in writing music but doesn't know where to begin. It's a quick-read with some practical suggestions.
All songwriters get frustrated from time to time with melodies that seem monotonous. You know...the "same old same old!" Here's another web article that may help. "5 Ways to Rewrite a Melody" has some tips that will help you reshape and update your melodies. Experiment with these ideas; play around with them. If you don’t like the new melody you come up with, you can always go back to what you had.
Best place to get your online music
Downloading recorded music is so common that CDs have become prehistoric history! Where's the best place to either download or live-stream your music? Here's a website that will help out. "TOP 10 US MUSIC DOWNLOAD WEBSITES OF 2019" will allow you to compare each one, then evaluate the best fit for you. From that page you can click to each site for more information.
The new items on FREE STUFF! are always available at the top of the page in the yellow "New Stuff!" box. However, once we introduce something, then it stays on the page for good. So if you missed something a couple weeks ago, it's still there. Go get it!
How quickly time flies. This will wrap it up for now.
Blessings on you as you start a new week!
