David Tennant judges our Father's Day competition!

In honour of Year of the Dad, Circle's patron David Tennant judged our Father's Day card competition, along with fellow Broadchurch cast members. Congratulations to the winner Shelby Ritchie, age 9! Runners up Dani Pavlov (age 9) and Logan Smith (age 12) also shone with their colourful designs! Watch the video HERE

Rhys, age 7, makes generous donation

Amazing Rhys, age 7, held a bake sale and sold off old toys and books to raise money for charity. We were delighted to accept £75 from Rhys, thank you and well done!

'High-Vis Dads' Arts Workshop

Circle's Haven Project held 'High-Vis Dads' Arts Workshop in July. Dads supported by Circle and their children worked their creative magic, producing a plinth that literally puts dads on a pedestal during this Year of the Dad.

Circle's Haven Project returning home!
|
|
Circle's Haven Project hope to move back to their premises in Craigroyston Primary School this month. The Haven has been closed for building work since April, resulting in premises change for our staff and the groups they run. Thanks to all the families who have been loyal to us and travelled further to attend groups.

This summer Circle has gone wild about native biodiversity at Edinburgh Zoo with Wild about Scotland! Read more... Edinburgh Zoo also inspired Circle's Haven Project's latest book, with families creating 'Inviting the Zoo to Come Home' during our storytelling week.

Circle and Addictions Support and Counselling (ASC) were delighted to secure funding from Big Lottery's Investing in Communities fund. More details on the Women's Outreach Team here.
Thank you to Pro Bono Economists for advising us on how to evaluate our alternatives to prison for Scottish women.

Circle hosted a huge variety of activities for children and families across our projects during the summer holidays, including trips to local attractions, family excursions and celebratory fun days. See what we've been up to.

Farewell to students finishing Circle placement

Best of luck to the University of Edinburgh students finishing their placements with Circle, we hope they have enjoyed their time with us. They have truly embraced the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills through interactions with both staff and service users, and we wish them well!
Catriona from University of Stirling is with us until September - here she is supporting a five year old's development!
