Online Centres Network News
Thursday 12 December 2019

Hello <<First Name>>

It was great to see so many of you at our Digital Evolution conference a couple of weeks ago. We had some fantastic speakers, and videos of all their presentations and a great round-up of the day are now available online for you to watch.

If you missed out on the conference and are keen to engage with other Online Centres, our Share and Learn event is taking place on Tuesday 28 January at the NCVO in London.

As well as meeting many other Online Centres, we have a range of speakers:

  • Hafsha Shaikh from Smartlyte - sharing the many benefits of implementing a family learning approach into your delivery model
  • Aurelie Ramgoolam from Crofton Park Library - talking about how they support the learner journey and employability training
  • Stephanie Linkogle, a tutor at Mind in the City - sharing her knowledge about mental health in ESOL and IT in adult education
  • Yvette Evans from Emmaus Lambeth and Surrey - sharing her thoughts on the impact of digital learning
We’ve also got bid writing and social media workshops, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet members of the network team. Don’t miss out, book your place today!

Best wishes

Make it Click funding - Belfast & Northern Ireland

Funding applications are now open for centres in Belfast and Northern Ireland as part of our Make it Click programme, in partnership with Google.org. The Make it Click programme aims to help adults achieve positive life and work outcomes, particularly around employment, by supporting them to understand how digital skills can change their life, and giving the practical skills and knowledge to build their confidence to do so.

The programme is aimed at adults who are limited users of the internet and aims to help individuals gain the confidence and digital skills they need to thrive online. Delivery for this opportunity runs from Monday 13 January 2020 to Thursday 31 December 2020, and we’re offering three contract sizes £1,250, £2,500 and £5,000.

Applications are open until Friday 31 January at 5pm. For more information and to read the guidance document, please visit our website
