Online Centres News Bulletin

Hello <<First Name>>

In the next few weeks, we’ll be hosting two separate events where you’ll have the chance to feed into our future work.

We’ve been working with BT to understand the barriers preventing people from getting online. At our annual Digital Evolution conference in November, many of you took part in workshops led by our Research Team to share your experiences at your centres. On Tuesday 26 February, in partnership with BT, we’re holding a practical and informative event in Birmingham to share our findings and help you embed this into your delivery. You can register for free here.

On Thursday 28 February, you’ll also have the chance to contribute to two major elements of our work in 2019, Get Online Week (which takes place from 14 - 20 October) and the development of our new Learner Diagnostic tool, by attending our free focus group. For more information or to register, visit our Eventbrite page.

Introduction to teaching facilitation skills. Learn effective mentoring techniques and how to develop a strategic teaching plan with these interactive webinars. Part 1 & 2 Tuesday 26 February, 10 - 12pm. Module 1: Teaching skills, module 2: theories of learning. Part 3 & 4 Tuesday 12 March, 10 - 12 pm. Module 3: Teaching strategies, module 4: assessing learning. Reserve your space today.
REGISTER FOR OUR UPCOMING WEBINAR: WORKING WITH FOODBANKS IN THE COMMUNITY

This informative new webinar, presented by one of our Online Centres, Shotton IT, will discuss how they have supported people in their community with a food bank. It will be a great way for your Online Centre to find out more about food poverty in the local community and how you can support others.
