Online Centres Network News
Thursday 21 February 2019

Hello <<First Name>>

I’m very pleased to announce that Future Digital Inclusion funding applications will open tomorrow and we’re looking for more members of the Online Centres Network to join the programme. If you've yet to be part of the programme, please do take a look.

Future Digital Inclusion is funded by the Department for Education and delivered by Good Things Foundation through the Online Centres Network in communities across the country.

Incredibly, the network has already supported more than 1 million people through Future Digital Inclusion since 2014. But with more than 11 million people still without the skills needed to take full advantage of the internet, there’s more work to be done.

Applications will be open from Friday 22 February for two weeks until 5pm on Friday 8 March. All of the information that you need to apply, and the application form, will be available here.

If you’d like more information, we’re holding a free webinar on Wednesday 27 February. All About Future Digital Inclusion will answer your questions on the background to the programme, contract sizes, eligibility criteria and the application process.

Best wishes

Focus group: Get Online Week 2019 and understanding digital skills learners

As we think about what the future of digital skills community delivery might look like, one of our areas of focus is how we help you identify the level of skills a new learner has and which resources are appropriate for them.

Our new Learner Diagnostic Tool is in the very early stages of development and a focus group taking place in two weeks is your opportunity to influence the direction it takes, making sure it's an invaluable tool for providing digital skills learning in your community.

Join us at our focus group in London on Thursday 28 February - where we’ll also be discussing the future of Get Online Week -  to help shape our work in 2019.

FILM STARS NEEDED FOR OUR UPCOMING DIGITAL CHAMPIONS VIDEO

Do you know any Digital Champions who’d like to be a small screen star? We’re looking for tutors who deliver digital skills to older people to be part of a short video we’re creating. The aim of the video is to highlight the challenges and benefits of introducing digital skills outside of a dedicated learning environment, for example, a care home or a library.

Do you know someone who has an interesting story to tell, or maybe you are that person? If so, please contact
research@goodthingsfoundation.org.

SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON TWO FREE RESOURCES DESIGNED TO HELP LEARNERS FOR THE JOURNEY INTO WORK

We’d like to hear your thoughts on two services provided by Accenture.

Accenture also helps de
