Easing of restrictions

The Premier announced the easing of restrictions which affects our business community in a positive way. All retail, including the beauty and health industry will now be allowed to open from 11.59pm tonight.

The hospitality industry are able to operate under the following terms:

  • 20 patrons allowed indoors with 50 patrons allowed outdoors
  • Density limits, COVID Safe Plans and record keeping apply
  • For those businesses that need to get ready for their reopening, staff will be able to attend immediately
  • Workers will not be required to carry a Permitted Worker Permit
For more information, please see the Premier's full statement.

COVIDSafe Plans now mandatory

It is mandatory that every Victorian business that is open has a COVIDSafe Plan. Your plan must follow six principles:

  • Ensure physical distancing
  • Wear a face mask
  • Practice good hygiene
  • Keep records
  • Act quickly if workers become unwell
  • Avoid interactions in enclosed spaces and create workforce bubbles
