To our Maribyrnong Business Community,

We've made it through our first week of eased restrictions which has no doubt kept you very busy relaunching your business.

It has been wonderful to see the City come alive again with the hustle and bustle of catch ups and meals shared after a sleepy few months, and we can only hope it continues to flourish as time goes on.

COVIDSafe Plans are important more than ever now to ensure we stay the course and continue to keep our workplace safe for staff and patrons.

If you need any assistance during this time, please contact the Economic Development team at business@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au

Best wishes,
City of Maribyrnong Team

BID Grants now open

Maribyrnong City Council’s Business Improvement District (BID) grant program Round 2 has opened for application.

The BID grant program is now in its fifth year and provides funding to support the growth and development of our activity centres.

In response to COVID-19, the eligibility criteria has been expanded for trader associations and groups of five or more businesses, who can apply for up to $50,000 for destination marketing and group strengthening initiatives. Previous examples of successful projects include the development of a short film, a pop-up small business showcase and the creation of a directory for local wedding suppliers.

The BID grant program is highly competitive and all applicants should read the guidelines and have a preliminary discussion with a Council officer regarding their proposed project.

Applications close  at 10am on 9 November 2020 and funding will be awarded by the Enterprise Maribyrnong Special Committee at their next meeting in December.

For more information please contact the Economic Development Department or visit Council's website to apply
