Hello cast of Grimms' Mad Tales

We are just over a month before we premiere Grimms' Mad Tales at Rochester Fringe 2016. Have you picked up a Fringe guide? If you were in Spoon River Rochester you might find yourself in a pic or two. Take some time to thumb through the 108-pages of theater, dance, multi-disciplinary, spoken word and more.

Casting
We are 75% to our casting goal of 200 and we need your help to close the gap! Have a friend or someone you know who would love to be a part of the show? Tell them about your part in the show, show them the website and how easy it is to be a part of something really big and really special. Go ahead....tell a friend!

On facebook? Invite them to our event page: https://www.facebook.com/grimmsmadtales/

Character assignment and text
Using no less than 50 words and no more than 200 words, pick an excerpt of the tale you were randomly assigned to tell. We strongly recommend the end of the tale- this is the best part with both conflict and resolution.   If you are not starting with the beginning, start your tale with, "And then..." (we will review this in rehearsal). Consecutive words work best. Don't rewrite the tale and don't summarize. The audience knows these stories and will go along for the ride.

Costume and make-up
Performers will pick a character from the story to create their costume. The costume can be any period, any style, etc but must be limited to the colors BLACK, WHITE, RED and PURPLE. Why do we do this, you ask? It is important to distinguish the performers from the audience. The colors of black, white, red and purple will keep the focus of the audience on YOU. Make-up is restricted to the same colors. At the end of the month, you will get a video with instructions in make-up and suggestions for costumes.
