Gumbootspearlz Press March 2017

Dear Pearlz Dreaming Fans,

It's been a while.  Apologies for that, but I've been busy producing and beginning the distribution of Magic Fish Dreaming.

This newsletter will now be called the Gumbootspearlz Press Newsletter and will focus on current and future publishing projects like Magic Fish Dreaming, as well as upcoming talks, panels, workshops and competitions I might run, reviews of Magic Fish Dreaming and books I love reading.

In the last two years I've spent much of the time making sure  Magic Fish Dreaming is produced and have now shifted from book production to learning about supplying the book to the public.  It has been a dream come true to bring this book to the public and I thank all of you who have been part of this journey.  Now I have to sell them!

But it won't all be news like this.  I'll  share  news about collaborative projects, blog guests past and future and every now and then will include a creative activity that you might like, or  handy tip for writing, kickstarting or publishing.

A big thank you to all the people sending us feedback on the book, and sharing their fan photographs and thoughts!

Hope you will stick with us for the journey unfolding! But remember there is always an unsubscribe option.

If you want regular updates on Magic Fish Dreaming it is best to subscribe to the blog - but if you are happy to hear more occasionally this newsletter will be a good option for you.

Kindest Regards,

June Perkins

Reading at Riverbend Bookshop in January

Luminous and jubilant, Magic Fish Dreaming explores an imaginative world of rainforest and cassowary, the flicker of geckos and the roll of quolls. Whimsical poems and exquisite images invite readers to venture into vibrant, magical places, rich with stories and legends.

Like the work of Michael Rosen and Shirley Hughes, images and words combine to evoke the textures and spirit of landscapes. Here, though, it is a vibrant Australian world readers discover, one alive with the colour and energy of nature and many cultures. “
