The Well-being group Walks and Talks have been such a pleasure to host. it's been a great opportunity to catch up with the staff and have a lovely stroll at the same time.  Some really great feedback from those who attended and Well-being surveys will be sent to all staff to feedback on the Walks and the teams Well-being activities.

There are still a few spaces left for Fridays Walk & Talk:

The dates available are now:

Monday 28th June 1pm-2pm

Please remember the Walks are just scheduled for 30 mins for those who have limited time, the remaining 30 mins is for refreshments but those who have to shoot off can grab a take-away.

The meeting point will be Sevendroog Castle and that will be finishing point also. If you require transportation to get there and back please let Virginia Ferrarai know. Really looking forward to the chance to catch up with you all, especially those that I don't see around often. Click on the link below to book a slot.

EMPLOYEE CYCLE  AND TECH SCHEME

As well as the Walks and Team activities Home-Start Greenwich have been looking at other incentives to offer to staff as part of the Well-being week offer, particularly ones that are long-term and will allow us to address Employee Financial well-being. We are pleased to announce that we can now offer our staff Employee Cycle and Tech Scheme benefits.

Cyclescheme is an employee benefit that  allows employees to obtain commuter bikes and cycling accessories through their employer, whilst spreading the cost over 12 months and making unbeatable savings through a tax break.

The employer registers with Cyclescheme - this only takes about 5 mins. Once registered they will be able to access free of charge promotional resources to help them publicise their exciting new employee benefit.

The employee visits their local bike shop or browses online to decide what they want; they then apply via the Cyclescheme website. The employer reviews their request and if they are eligible pays for the equipment.

The employee receives their bike and starts their salary repayments. After 12 months the employer will have recovered their costs and generated up to 13.8% in savings. The employee will be given their ownership options.

Techscheme enables employees to get the the latest tech through their employer. They then spread the cost with up to 12 payments from their salary across 12 months and make National Insurance savings too.  Best of all they own the products from the beginning and there’s no end of hire fee.

There are over 5,000 tech products to choose from, whether they need tablets and televisions, fitness trackers, phones, games consoles or kitchen appliances...

EGLINTON SCHOOL HOUSE

A proposal has been accepted by us to swap the Bluebell Centre lease for the Eglinton School House due to logistics, community development potential and staffing locality. Both sites are currently undergoing building surveyor consultations, structural inspections and building work quotations but it is anticipated that a swap should be able to take place in the September/October months. We are very excited with the potential of the building and now we are actively seeking funding  to help cover the cost of the works needed, thankfully John Lewis have agreed to refurbish the kitchen and are also providing us with some of the interior furniture. Regular progress updates will be shared with the staff teams.

NEW STARTERS

Project Officer role:

From today, Gemma Roberts will be starting in a temporary role for 6 months to support me and the operations of the School House move. Gemma will be working with us 3 days per week and will continue to support Start Well Trust with me the remainder of the week.

Head of People:
John Egan accepted the role as Head of People focusing on ER , resolutions, and business solution. He will be starting a handover one day per week from the 2nd to 19th July. Then full time from 20th July. I'm sure you will welcome them both to the organisation when you cross paths.
