Staff Comms Update

World Well-being Week is an opportunity for participants worldwide to promote an overall awareness for the wide-ranging aspects of wellbeing. Something never before so important as in these challenging times of ours.

Home-Start Greenwich want to use this week to show our appreciation for our valued staff by providing teams with a budget so they can stage their own well-being event or engage in an activity.
In addition, I will be hosting a series of Well-being walk and talks with groups of staff in the local area. Look forward to catching up with you all after such a long time. Click on the link below to book a slot.

Teresa Brinkley, Head of People will be leaving us at the end of June. We thank Teresa for her support and advice and invaluable input to designing our first INSET training manual, and our exciting recruitment pack amongst other things.  We wish Teresa well in her next steps and hope you all get to say Goodbye as Teresa will be working some days over the summer to handover and support a smooth transition. Thank you Teresa, Bon Voyage.

Annual Leave

To ensure we are fully able to operate from September when we anticipate all services will be able to resume we require staff to have used sufficient holiday to keep services running in the second half of the year.

This year this means we need all staff to have used a minimum of 50% of their current annual leave allowance and all carry over from last year by the end of August.

If staff do not book in holiday we may need to designate the periods of time that they are required to take holiday, which we would rather not have to do.

If you have not already done so, please look at your IRIS account, check with your team and make sure you request your holiday as soon as possible. Thank you.

The service offer has been updated to deliver New Birth Visits, 1 year and 2.5-year reviews to all families with prioritisation for the 6-8 week review for those vulnerable families with health or safeguarding concerns.
We are really pleased that all of the SWT new appointments agreed to transfer into the service adding an additional 6 staff, in addition to the Named Safeguarding Nurse who joined on transfer week.
We are also pleased to let you know that from 9th June the Duty Line will operate Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
If you do need to contact the Health Visiting Service directly, please do get in touch on the details below:

With the easing of restrictions we have developed our programme further  in line with Government guidelines. Please note all Children Centre services will need to be pre-booked by calling the relevant Centre, the SEND group will still need to be booked via our eventbrite page.

Home-Start Greenwich On-site Children Centre Programme

Due to the development of our Children Centre program since the easing of lockdown our digital programme has been slim lined to provide adult education courses and well-being activities that can be carried out effectively remotely.
