This week we took a run with the red dragon to find out the latest CO2 Artist.

Ritchie Newell has been around aquariums since he was five years old. It all started with his grandad's aquarium with Ritchie's first tank being a goldfish bowl housing a goldfish he won at the fair.

Since then Ritchie has kept all kinds of fish and eventually specializing in Discus fish which was when he was first introduced to live aquatic plants and aquascaping.

Back then Ritchie didn't know much about aquascaping so it took a lot of research to get things right. Naturally, this led Ritchie to discover Takashi Amano and it didn't take him long to develop a love for the nature aquarium. Unfortunately, His aquarium failed and he took a break from the hobby. It wasn't until his friends opened a new aquatics shop that was focussed on aquascaping that he decided to give aquascaping his full attention. He quickly invested in all the equipment, researched even more and began to create his first serious aquascaped aquariums.

Recently Ritchie has started his own company called Aquaman Complete Aquarium Services South Wales. This has made way for his creativity to grow and develop even further. Ritchie has been primarily focused in low tech aquascapes but is ready now to make the switch to the full powered hi-tech setups which is why we are delighted to get behind him and support him through the next stage in his aquascaping journey.

Welcome to the team!
Aquaman Complete Aquarium Services South Wales

Anubias caffeefolia

Difficulty: Easy - like most Anubias, this requires little care. as long as the ~Rhizome is not buried in the substrate this plant will grow with ease.

Tank Position: Best attached to rock or wood around the front and middle of the tank. Due to its large ridged leaves, it will add fullness and texture to your aquarium.

Lighting: Low lighting is required. Ideal for low tech aquariums.

Temperature: A temperature range of 23-28℃ is best.

CO2 Requirements: CO2 is not essential, however, the addition of co2 will always improve plant growth

Feeding: A good quality liquid fertiliser is advised.

Note: With the new leaves being an unusual brown colour at first this is an interesting plant for any aquarium. We especially like the rich texture on the leaves.

Have you upgraded your diffuser yet?

WBoth our latest CO2 diffusers make use of our new nano CO2 mist technology. Offering the worlds finest precision for planted tanks. Choose between our professional quality inline diffuser which remains outside your aquarium attached to external filter & our new Flux_diffuser which is designed using highly durable and clear materials to reduce the visual impact it has inside your aquarium.

To do our bit for the environment we don't send instruction manuals with any of our products. Instead of a paper instruction manual in our box, you will find a small card with a link to our website support portal where you will find installation guides, troubleshooting and many other helpful articles to make setting up and maintaining your new regulator as simple and straight forward as possible.

By doing this we are reducing the amount of paper we use and help to reduce waste.

What a gorgeous place to sit and relax.

Our CO2 Artist John Cudworth has been extremely busy building his very own aquascaping studio in Scotland.

We have been working on our plans to launch our very own aquascaping community and we are almost ready to launch our new website so we decided to share some more information to let you all know why we are so excited.

The new CO2 Artists community will offer members a place to connect with many other like minded aquascapers. Its a place to show past and present projects, share advice and ideas with aquascapers from across the world. We want our CO2 Artists community to feel special which is why we have included features such as a gallery of different styled aquascaspes, shop directory and even an events calendar so members can find and attend local workshops to further improve their skills.

Our members will have several benefits including special discounts, early access to our new products and much more.

Why not visit our social media pages and check out some of the existing co2 artist galleries already being shared.

We are currently looking for beta testers so if you have not already registered to become a beta tester, you can do so by clicking on the learn more button at the top of the co2 artist facebook page.
