National Food & Innovation Centre

Kathy Bensted, Chair of RDAIWM, was given a briefing on project priorities in the area, including the National Food & Innovation Centre based in the Lockyer Valley. RDAIWM fully supports their recent National Stronger Regions Fund submission for the Lockyer Valley as it boasts the seventh most fertile soil in the world and supplies the majority of Australia's winter vegetables.

SEQ RDA Meeting

RDAIWM hosted the SEQ RDA meeting held on 28 October 2015. Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale kindly provided an overview of the Ipswich region especially relating to future job growth in IT, technology and becoming the intelligent region. The Mayor emphasised that Ipswich is a "family friendly city where people matter" and that we need to find ways to celebrate success; as positivity breed positivity. Mayor Paul Pisasale also supported the collaborative approach SEQ RDA's makes towards economic development across the whole of South East Queensland.

Australia Day Awards Nominations OPEN

Scenic Rim Regional Council's annual Australia Day Awards program is held to acknowledge the significant contributions made by individuals and groups to the community.
