In a Healthline News report, we highlighted a small study that showed people who smoke e-cigarettes exhale less carbon monoxide. That lends credence to a theory widely held by vapers that damage to the lungs is greatly reduced because e-cigs produce vapor instead of smoke. Other scientists counter that chemicals in e-cig “e-liquid,” or “juice,” could be just as harmful.

People in North Wales could be banned from smoking even in pub beer gardens if new laws being pushed by the Welsh government come into force. As well as planning to ban e-cigarettes in enclosed public spaces - which would include inside pubs where they are generally allowed - the government ’s Bill will give it the power to ban smoking in beer gardens that include children’s play areas.

Customers heat these concoctions with battery-operated devices and inhale the vapors — hence the term "vaping." Atefyekta and Steed's efforts at quality control, however, might not be enough to keep them in business.

Ohio University’s new tobacco-free policy took effect on Aug. 1. This puts OU on a list of more than 1,500 other college campuses that have banned smoking, more than 1,000 that have prohibited all tobacco and more than 700 that include e-cigarettes in the ban.
