I was raised in a culture of being useful to others and making people lives better. [...] So my interests in it have been about knowing about the degree of harm that combustible cigarettes do. When something comes along that will be better for those that smoke, that can’t stop for whatever reason, I felt it would be important to an advocate of them.

Electronic cigarettes are to be banned on Southern trains from late July 2015. Campaigners say e-cigarettes are a safer alternative to traditional tobacco and that banning them will remove an incentive for people trying to give up. Over 2.6 million people smoke them every day according to the smoking charity Ash. So where can you still vape if you want to?

Smokeless tobacco would be banned from public schools in New Jersey under a bill set to get a vote in the Assembly. A vote in the General Assembly was delayed after the measure was amended on the floor on Thursday. The measure bars the product in the state’s nearly 600 school districts.
