Happy New Year & Welcome to 2021.
I am trying my hardest to think of something positive and inspiring to inject: passion, enthusiasm and motivation into the start of a New Year. Some wise words that will drive you to train harder, smarter; words that put you on the highway to all the martial arts goals you set yourself; the competitions your going to win; the gradings you are going to pass!
Oh well never mind. I think this year I will leave all that for your WhatsApp feeds, Facebook Posts, Instagram updates I am sure they will do that job far better than me.
So, as the COVID Crisis continues we are having to think of new ways to keep our martial arts training fresh and motivational during this latest lockdown therefore we resume our Zoom classes, details below. However, in addition to the Zoom classes our seniors are offering our members the opportunity to participate in 'form tutorial sessions'.
'Ooh' I hear you say! These sessions are open to all members. They will range from the beginner's Luo-Harn Ch'ao; through the Ch'ang Ch'uen forms and up to Tsu p'ing Ch'uen our Black Belt form. Each session will be taken by one of our senior instructors with the objective of delivering a masterclass in that particular form. If you are interested in these sessions we are asking you to register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by the 31st January so that these can commence in February. Email stating what forms you would like practice, (the only limit being your current grade). We will then hook you up with one of our seniors for your masterclass sessions.
Below are our weekly ZOOM classes; take part in as many as you wish; try some you haven't tried before!

So Sunday evenings Dave will take you through our traditional class, similar to what you might expect to do in a socially distanced class; well apart from the fact its in your own home.

Mondays Pete makes you work out with bands and weights (if you don't have these we can work around it) with the aim of making your punches and kicks more powerful and improve your flexibility. .
TUESDAYS: 7:30 pm SSK Fitness

Tuesdays Nic takes our basic traditional movements and puts them on steroids, your basic moves driven to the max in a circuit training style workout; not to be missed!
SATURDAYS: 10:30 am Explosive Kicking

Saturday mornings start tranquilly with Pete's take on yoga, making the most of dynamic stretches; then breaking down our kicks, before reconstructing them into full force power shots.
So what with our new Masterclass series and our regular four classes per week there's something for everyone at San Shou Kuan!
