June: A Boat, a Box, and BC!
The past month has been brimming with excitement! My plan to paint, travel and be in nature is magically merging into reality. I've been able to create art in our great Canadian outdoors, while the Four Elements have shown up as comforting companions: WATER: while living on a boat for a week; AIR: flying to the West Coast; EARTH: painting in the mountains; FIRE: arriving back to the urban grid and receiving an acceptance letter... fire, being the burning excitement and inspiration that's roaring inside of me!

Muraling in the Mountains
Well that was fun! After a beautiful flight, I rode to Grouse Mountain Resort via Skytrain, Seabus, car, then tram up into the pine-covered mountains. I was shown to my sweet-peaked cabin (the owner's cabin!) and then to the chalet where I painted the surrounding views on their wall. I visited the grizzly habitat, held a hummingbird, and was filled with unlimited mountain inspiration. This job was perfect in so many ways—fingers crossed for many more like it to come! Ask me how to get your own mural...

Views from a Boat
Water is magical. I had the opportunity to boat-pet-sit for my friend Hoann, the owner of Cosmopawlitan. From sunrise to sunset and rain to sunshine, I was surrounded by water. I watched the lake change from a perfect reflection at sunrise, to slight ripples only an hour later. My senses heightened as I became aware of different sensations and sounds... fresh air blew in from the lake, ducks bobbed around the marina, birds tweeted from above and the boat gently rocked beneath my feet. By the end of the week, the water had cast a spell upon me—a powerful calmness. Check out my website for new murals...

Outside the Box Program
Do you recognize any of these boxes? This June, I'll be painting one for StreetARToronto's Outside the Box Program. Now in it's 3rd year, traffic signal boxes have been transformed into 3-dimensional murals to revitalize the city. I'm also excited to be selected as 1 of the top 10 artists to collaborate on a second project with Urban Barn! Hint: my design will combine a map and a puzzle. Stay tuned and watch the progress on Instagram...

Thank you for hearting art!
