Fall Hours
Our hours will be Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm with tickets available for time-ticketed entry online. Members receive free entry (though still required to book online), and non-members can make use of coupon code GROUPPROMO to receive 10% off when they book all 5 available tickets for their family or social bubble!

Our priority remains ensuring the safety of our community, volunteers, staff, and visitors. This means, all staff and volunteers will be wearing face masks or shields and disinfecting high touch surfaces between visits. There will be no public washroom use and only five visitors will be permitted in the museum per hour.

Before visiting make sure to read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Safety Plan on our website if you have any further questions regarding our new protocols(https://www.roeddehouse.org/website/index.php/en/).Masks are strongly encouraged. Beautiful handmade cotton face masks are available for purchase in our gift shop in Victorian inspired prints.
Wistful Farewell to Nina & Sheila

We would like to sincerely thank Nina and Sheila for their time with the Roedde House Museum. Words are inadequate to express our gratefulness and appreciation of their incomparable work during their time with us. Please know that you will be missed, and we wish you all the best now and into the future.

However this is not a goodbye, but a see you soon for our time with Nina.
On her last day, Nina left us this lovely message that she'd like to share:

I had such a wonderful summer working at Roedde House; it was an honour and a pleasure to spend so much time in the historical kitchen, as well as getting to know all the delightful staff and volunteers. In fact, I love it here so much that I've decided to stay on as a volunteer into the fall, so you haven't seen the last of me!
I'm joining the Collections Committee, continuing the archival work I started over the summer. I'll also be doing research from home, trying to find out more about the Roedde family's Chinese cook and piecing together what his life would have been like. I'm looking forward to sharing my findings with the public someday in the near future!
Even if I won't be as physically present in the museum as I was over the summer, I've left a little something behind. As some of you already know, I make jewellery in my spare time. My handmade earrings, crafted from vintage clock hands, are now on sale in the Roedde House gift shop; get yours while they last...
I'm taking a few weeks away from the museum, first to take a little time off, then to get started with the fall semester of classes up at SFU. I'm going into the history honours program, as well as working as a research assistant for a Byzantine studies project, so I'll be quite busy! But once I've settled down at school, my volunteering here at Roedde House will start up.
Until then, stay safe, and a fond Victorian fare thee well,
Nina

We look forward to seeing you soon, Nina!

A Warm Welcome to Roedde`s
