Dear Friends of Roedde House,

As of July 23rd, Roedde House museum has re-opened with public access available through self guided audio tours on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from 11-4pm. Tickets can be purchased online through our website at for one hour time slots. If you purchase 5 tickets, you can get 10% off of your order using the promo code GROUPPROMO. Tickets must be purchased more than an hour in advance of entry.
Every Wednesday in July, Roedde House shared an educational video vignette on social media from our historic kitchen as part of #historicplacesday. Dressed in Edwardian costume, our summer student Nina taught viewers about cooking, laundry, and other aspects of domestic life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

We look forward to seeing everyone from a social distance touring the house with COVID-19 safety measures in place - we continue to be active on social media, so please connect with us there!

Whats Cooking Wednesdays

In celebration of #historicplacesday, every Wednesday afternoon in July, our summer student, Nina, dressed up in reproduction costume and shared an educational video relating to her research of our historic 1893 kitchen. Please click on the images to watch the videos.

Week one's theme was wash day where Nina demonstrated how laundry would have been done in the Roedde's time.

Week Two was all about cooking, kitchen gadgets and included a tutorial on the  bread machine.

In Week Three Nina talked about household management in the Victorian Era, the Roedde family’s servants and the effects of class on historical preservation!

Week Four was a housemaid’s tale where you could learn about how Victorians tackled household cleaning & chores!

To watch all the video clips, please visit our IGTV here:

Nina is in the office Wed – Sun for August.
