Ecole Cedardale poised to become BC's first French Immersion IB PYP school
Ecole Cedardale will apply to become an IB candidate school for September, 2014, following Board approval in January. The plans flow from an extensive consultation process that involved teachers, parents, students and staff.

Basketball BC and the West Vancouver School District are pleased to announce the creation of a BC High School Performance Training Centre for the 2014/15 school year. Based at West Vancouver Secondary School, the new centre will be open to Grade 10-12 students from districts throughout the region.

District Honour Choir to host information evening
The district's highly successful coed and female Honour Choirs are inviting families and interested students to an information evening February 25 at 7 pm. North Shore kids invited to speak out
The North Shore Restorative Justice Society is inviting students across the north shore to join a dialogue on February 27 as part of its speak out series. This session will focus on Identity: what it is, how it's expressed and the challenges, rights and responsibilities of doing so in consideration of diversity, individuality and respect.

Embark on an enchanted journey with Sentinel theatre students this month. Sentinel is presenting Alice in Wonderland with six shows scheduled between February 25 and March 1.

Though February is the shortest month of the year, schools and program coordinators are not only keeping current students busy, but are also planning ahead for the 2014/2015 school year. Stage events, including the ever-popular rock band concert and Sentinel stage production are happening this month and Rockridge is hosting the EducationUK fair, which will bring 24 UK universities together in a public school setting for the first time ever.
