For Your Professional Development

PCPR Network Meeting, May 20th, 9:00A - 11:00A

With all that has transpired in and around higher education in the past 14 months, admissions and related testing have begun to look very different. Students and parents are challenged with navigating a new - and seemingly every-changing - landscape for college admissions requirements and preparation. PCPR will feature Akil Bello, assessment reform expert and Senior Director of Advocacy and Advancement of FairTest: The National Center for Fair and Open Testing. With more than 3 decades of experience working on testing issues as a tutor, analyst, and advocate, Bello will bring his expertise to the discussion of the what current landscape in admission testing means for the students we serve.

Akil Bello presented at this past February’s PCPR Forum and is a major expert contributor in the Netflix documentary “Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal”.

Registration for the Zoom meeting can be found at http://bit.ly/pcpr_mtg_520.

PACAC College Access Forum

There is still time to register for the College Access Forum on May 17th or May 19th via Zoom. It is a virtual half-day event dedicated to preparing you to be the most effective advocate you can be for your state government officials.

The events are free to attend and individuals seeking to earn the Advocacy Leadership Credential who didn't attend the online webinars are eligible if they attend the College Access Forum and complete a Capstone meeting with their state or federal lawmakers.

ACT 48 hours will be available for those attending the event.

If you have questions, please contact me.

Thank you!
