MotoQuest Founder Phil Freeman just returned from back-to-back trips in Japan and his enthusiasm about the Land of the Rising Sun is at an all-time high. With Japan fresh on his mind, we asked him to give us some insight into why he loves touring the country so much. He’ll fill you in on why our Japan MotoGP Adventure in October is the perfect time to see Japan for yourself! Did we mention it's centered around an excursion to the Japan MotoGP?
Here’s Phil:

There are a lot of reasons why you choose a destination for a motorcycle adventure. I was pondering this while recently in Japan during our Japan Three Island Tour. It dawned on me how every place you visit has a way of surprising you and staying in your memory. Japan seems to do this particularity well. The culture is one of the most unique in the world, the food is incredible, but what gets me about Japan every time is the natural beauty you see. You could be in a huge metropolis one minute, and just as easily step away deep into the mountains.
We have had great success with our Three Island Tour because it coincides with the cherry blossom season. But if there were an iconic ride we offer that rivals this, it would have to be the fall colors of Japan during our MotoGP Adventure. Not only do we ride the best roads of the Japanese Alps, Shikoku Island and more, we also visit the famed Twin Ring in Motegi to watch the MotoGP.

To join this adventure, we need to plan ahead. With a world-renowned event like MotoGP on the itinerary, tickets go fast. We purchase tickets as soon as they go on sale, and this year that is on May 31st. Since we need to know who is in for this world-class ride by then, this is truly the last call to reserve your spot. Our group is coming together, and we are looking for a couple more riders to round it out.

If you’re interested in the Japan MotoGP Adventure, please reach out ASAP so we can answer any questions you might have. There are still plenty of amazing motorcycles to choose from.
  • BMW F 800 GS
  • Kawasaki ER-4N
  • Kawasaki W400
  • Triumph Bonneville CARB
  • Triumph Bonneville SE EFI
  • Triumph Bonneville T100 EFI
  • Triumph Tiger XR 800 Low
  • Triumph Tiger XC 800 Low
  • Triumph Trophy 1215
  • Triumph Tiger 1215 XR Low
I WOULD LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THIS JAPAN MOTOGP ADVENTURE
If you’ve been to a MotoGP race before, you know it’s a prestigious event with incredible racing. But there is something about attending in Japan, where the motorcycle heritage runs deep, that makes for an all-new way to experience the pinnacle of the sport. And while we’re there, we also pay a visit to the incomparable Honda Museum.
MotoGP is just one of the elements on the itinerary that make this tour special. The fall colors, unique travel lodges, fantastic roads, visiting Mt. Fuji, and this one road on Shikoku Island you just have to ride, all combine to put this adventure at the top of my list. I wish I could tell you all the amazing little details that you’ll take in, but you’ll just have to come and experience it for yourself.

This is the most action-packed Japan tour we offer, and I would love for you to be a part of it.
