beacon hill
tree garden planting day

ALL ARE WELCOME!
Friday May 13 @ 8 am-4 pm
Contact: Ivy Turner, BHWF
Member @ 617-308-4897

The planting crew will begin at the corner of Charles & Beacon Streets and clean, plant and mulch the garden inside each decorative wrought-iron tree guard along Charles Street.

Come for all or any part of the day. Bring your own gloves; planting supplies will be provided. TEXT IVY TURNER (# above) to locate the planting crew when you get there.

A little bit of history: The iron tree guards were installed as part of the Beacon Hill Civic Association's 90th anniversary campaign to beautify Charles Street. Funds were donated by local residents. John David Corey & Miguel Rosales organized the first planting day and Ivy A. Turner and her Real Estate Team organized the volunteers. This is their second year working together to plant the tree gardens and expect volunteers from The Beacon Hill Women’s Forum, Beacon Hill Garden Club, Beacon Hill Civic Association, Realtors and others to participate again. The gardens will improve each year as more perennials are added.
