The "Back to School" Edition
If you plan to participate in the Oklahoma Green Schools Program during the 2014-2015 school year, we ask that you please register on our website, even if you have registered in years past.
The only way we know that your school is still participating in the program is if you continue to register every year. Our funding is partially based on the participation in the program, so please help us account for all participating schools!
If you register your school before October 1, 2014 you will be entered into a drawing to win one of three great prizes: a Kill-a-Watt meter, a "Forest Trees of Oklahoma" book and "What Tree is That?" field guide, or a Spring & Hook Scale.

If you are registered with the Oklahoma Green Schools Program for the 2014-2015 school year, and you are a high school teacher, you may receive a copy of Teaching Green: The High School Years free of charge! We only have a limited number, so make sure you are registered and then request your copy by emailing

This is a generous offer from the Green Teacher Organization. Thank you very much!

Sorry we cannot offer the Middle School or Elementary School books, but those are available for purchase on the Green Teacher website.
Does your school have a project that you need extra assistance for? The Oklahoma Green Schools Program would like to help.

The Green Apple Day of Service, gives parents, teachers, students, companies and local organizations the opportunity to transform all schools into healthy, safe and productive learning environments through local service projects.

We will choose at least one school to assist by providing volunteer labor for your project. If you would like to be considered for assistance, please email your request to
Requests must be received by Monday, September 1, 2014.
Do you have a Green Team at school?

Will you be doing a project between September 8, 2014,  and end early March 6, 2015?

If so, simply register your project in the Oklahoma Green Schools Challenge, and you could win cash and a trophy for your school!

Winners will be selected at the Primary and Secondary level.

You must register no later than September 8, 2014 to be entered into the contest. All Oklahoma schools are encouraged to enter. One entry per school.
