The National Crime Agency, Major Investigations Command has requested your help in tracing Ms Constance Marten and her partner Mr Mark and their new-born baby.  Please circulate this poster to other GPs and Health Visitors.

The three have been missing since Thursday 5 January 2023, when their car broke down on the M61 near Bolton. There has been a sighting in Essex.

It is believed that they travelled to London. The police would like London covered as priority and then the UK regions.

For immediate sightings, please call 999 (i.e. missing persons on or having just left a premises).  Alternatively, call 02071750785.

Hackney Medical Examiner Service

The Medical Examiner Service for Hackney is now ready to accept referrals.  From Saturday 1 April 2023, due to statutory changes in the law, all deaths will need to be reviewed by this service before the bereaved can register the death.  All practices are welcome to start using the service, so that it is familiar before the statutory changes make this a compulsory part of practice.

Maternity Choice Survey

North East London wants to ensure all women and pregnant people have the best experience when using maternity services. As part of this, we are working with Healthwatch and Maternity Voices Partnerships to better understand the choices women and pregnant people are making when it comes to their maternity care.

Through surveys and interviews with women and people who are currently pregnant, we will better understand people’s choice for maternity care; whether they felt they could make choices and why they chose to have their maternity care at their chosen hospital, birth centre or a home birth.

Please fill out the Maternity Choice survey or share with those who are currently pregnant or have given birth in the last two months. The survey will close on Thursday 16 February 2023.
