Crowdfunding campaign for Health Visitor Heidrun Thawe

Message from NEL Primary Care Central Team

It is with great sadness to share the news that our dear friend and colleague Heidrun Thawe has passed away. Heidrun worked as a Health Visitor in the Leyton Green team and, more recently, as the team lead in the Central team, working from Comely Bank. She had been away from work since becoming unwell in January this year.

Please inform any colleagues in your teams and networks who may have known and worked with Heidrun.  If anyone would wish to attend her funeral, please contact NEL Primary Care Central Team.  The funeral is scheduled for Friday 25 November 2022 and her family are happy for all who knew Heidrun to attend.

A crowdfunding campaign is currently ongoing to raise funds for her boys.  Please feel free to share.

Maternity and neonatal services refreshed delivery plan survey

The NHS is working hard to improve maternity and neonatal services and is looking for help on how to shape it.

NHS England is writing an updated delivery plan on how maternity and neonatal services are delivered. NHS seeks views of staff, service users and stakeholders to help inform this new plan in order to set clear goals to make maternity and neonatal services more personalised and improve people’s experiences when using them. The new plan will also bring together all the aims for perinatal service delivery and improvement into one place.

The survey closes on Sunday 27 November 2022.
