1st Annual WDAFL Championship
November 14-15
The Grand Oaks Resort Weirsdale, FL
Be a part of history and plan on attending our 1
st WDAFL Championship at the beautiful Grand Oaks Resort. Conveniently located for all of our members and one of the most gorgeous up to date horse facilities in the state. We held our Annual
Meeting here last year and everyone agreed this was the location to hold our 1
st WDAFL Championship.
As we begin to plan the events we encourage you to make your plans to attend now. The Grand Oaks offers wonderful stalls, lodging on site & RV sites. For lodging contact: Lori Mount, Reservation Administrator, 353-750-5500 x 231 or LoriMount@TheGrandOaks.com. For more information visit their website:

We would like to hear from you what types of educational programs, etc. you would like for Saturday. The Championship will be held on Sunday, and we are planning on 2 arenas (covered), allowing for 120 rides. We will be having an Exhibitor Party on Saturday evening. The rest is in planning stages, so let us know at

Volunteers Needed
WDAFL is seeking a variety of volunteers to assist us as we continue to grow. We need writers, individuals with marketing skills, helping with a sponsorship program, and we are going to need a lot of assistance with the Championship. So, please let us know of your interest by contacting us at

High Point Program
The High Point Program is taking off! This year we have seen both the number of horse/rider teams enter and geographical area grow. We have horse/rider teams from as far north as Southern Georgia - who ride in Florida shows - and way down south Florida. WDAFL is growing. The High Point Program is becoming competitive!
Ladies and gentlemen, there seems to be some confusion over the High Point rules regarding entrees to be submitted.
- The rule states: Must ride in a minimum of three WDAFL qualifying shows under three (3) different judges (per level).
- When submitting your tests, only send the highest score for the day under one judge. For example: you ride two tests (one is a 69.7, the other 70) under one judge - only submit the higher score(70). If you ride two tests under two different judges at the same show, you could submit both scores.
- 1 test/1 day/1 judge/1 score to be submitted. At three qualifying shows.
- There is a thirty (30) day time limit to send in your tests. Please send legible and complete copies. If you can’t read the copy, neither can we. If you are emailing a scan of your test, send it to yourself first to make sure you can open and read it.
If you are not in the game (High Point Program) you can’t win. Go for it!
