Last month Glynis Luke, our Admin, Information & Communications Officer (wearing green in the photo), attended the Newtown Food Festival on behalf of our team to talk to people about "food and mood".

She found out that some of the foods that make people feel better include - mince and gravy, chocolate and Baileys, asparagus and Thai curries.

What do you think? Tell us if there are foods that make you feel better, and how what you eat changes how you think and feel.

Freda reports: "Good senior management meeting with Perry Atwell, Michelle Forkings and Andrew Hopkins of Aneurin Bevan Health Board. We went through the issues and they are progressing things actively with Powys teaching Health Board estate managers. Any issues that can be sorted like the freeview box will be pursued via charitable funds. We discussed active management - the team are looking at issues so we can move them forward. There are some challenges with ABHB having to liaise with different directorates and staff in Bronllys Hospital as the mental health services are separate from estates, but things are shifting and are being discussed. The Patients' Council and issues we're raising are a significant contribution to helping push issues through to resolution."

You can read more about the work of Patients' Council and issues that are being addressed currently here.

Freda meets people attending the Welshpool Stronger in Partnership meeting in September.
