Weekly Event: Espot Outing! 

It's time to ascend to Rhythm Heaven this week cause we're all going to Espot!!!! We'll be hopping on the R4 and speedrunning our way to playing Taiko No Tatsujin so much that we lose all feeling in our arms on Friday the 21st! We'll be leaving the Buchanan Building at 6:30 sharp after our regular viewings and artist meetup.

The menu for viewings this week is: (koukyuu no karasu ep3, chainsaw man ep2, pui pui molcar: driving school ep2) + Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou ep1

As you may know, UBC Ani nembers have for 5 percent off of PASELI (which is the currency used to play rhythm games like Sound Voltex, Beatmania IIDX, Jubeat, Groove Coaster, Dance Dance Revolution A, Gitadora, Project Diva, etc. Just present your membership card and matching ID at the counter during purchase to cash in on those sweet sweet benefits. 

If tapping to the 240bpm rhythm of some weeb music on 2 times speed isn't your thing, no worries! Espot has a ton of other fun games to try!

Just make sure to bring some cash as games at Espot take 1 or 2 dollar coins to play! (they have an ATM there too tho)

We'll also most likely be eating at the Yaohan food court across from Aberdeen Mall, so come prepared for that (many vendors there prefer cash or debit) or eat elsewhere if you'd like! 

Puella Magi UBCANI!

It's time to make a contract...... if you want your wish fulfilled then you'll need to become a Magical Girl at UBC Ani's 2022 Halloween Social event!!!!! 

Get your color-coded gems and weapons ready because we have an infestation of Witches on UBC Campus! UBC Ani is proud to announce our "Madoka Magica" themed Halloween social event, where you and your friends can experience the 100 percent wholesome fun of being a magical girl!  

This event will begin at 5 PM on Saturday, October 29th and go until 9 PM. We've scouted out a giant nest of witches ready to be exterminated on the second floor of the UBC Nest, specifically in rooms 2306 and 2309, and in the performance theatre. We highly reccomend watching the first 3 episodes (or the whole series cause its GOATED) before coming to the event! 

We have 3 "Madoka Magica" themed games that include: 

Make a contract with Kyubey! : Gain points by granting a series of wishes in front of Kyubey! But be careful, with every wish something needs to be sacrificed! 

Witch hunt! : Team up and transform into magical girls to deliver the most stylish, over-the-top, drawn-out attack you can think of! 

Purify your soul! : Transport grief seeds to avoid them turning into witches! Using special grief seed removal tools your team will have to take care of them as fast as possible!
 
As with any good Magical Girl contract, you need to offer something up in order to participate. So here are the ticket prices! Don't hesitate to take the leap and grab an Early Bird ticket at a discounted price!
