Weekly Event: Game Night!

Gamer Headset? On. Knuckles? Cracked. Anime? None. Yep. It's gamer time.

Big thanks to Jake (@xare) from the Artist Collective for this awesome weekly event art!

It's time for one of our most popular weekly events, Video Game night! We'll be gathering a "gamer feast" consisting of a bunch of different genres for you all to try out! Fighting Games? We've got em. Rhythm Games? 100 percent. League of Legends? Never.

Whether it's ruining your friendships in Mario Party or flailing around In VR, we've got you covered. Also, feel free to bring any kind of gaming setup you want!

Room A201 will have fighting games, Switches, and Mario party on the projector!

Room  A202 will be for anyone who brings their own games to set up and play in!

Room A203 will have the club Wii set up inside!

Room B216 will have a VR Setup running Beat Saber inside! (Maybe other rhythm games too)

If you do plan on bringing something, please let us know by filling out this form!

Schedule
5:00 - 6:30: Viewings in room A202, Artist Meetup in room B216, A203 for chillin
6:30 - 7:00: Dinner break!
7:00 - 10:00: Video Game Night!

New weekly event room layout!

We're adding a new room dedicated to Artist Meetup from now on! Buchanan room B216 will be the new location for all UBC Ani Artist-related activities!

Buchanan A203 (the previous artist meetup room) will now be used as a chill room where members not interested in viewings can go to hang out, study, and vibe.

UBC Ani at Akimatsuri!

UBC Ani will have a table at this year's Akimatsuri! Akimatsuri is an annual 1-day event, held in the late fall  with a style based upon the school, cultural and seasonal festivals held in Japan!

It also includes many of the traditional Anime Evolution events on a smaller scale including panels, video and AMV showings, gaming, artists, and vendors!

Akimatsuri will take place on Saturday, November 26th from 10am - 6pm @ Kwantlen Polytechnic University!

Tickets are 15$ at the door! Learn more about the event here.
