1. Enjoy Thaw di Gras in Dawson this weekend!
Celebrate the end of Winter with Dawson City’s signature event: Thaw di Gras Spring Carnival!

For years, Dawson City has rung in Spring with a Carnival unlike any other. A true community event; we come alive and host a variety of games, from the serious, to ridiculous, to simply outrageous. Thaw di Gras Spring Carnival truly has something for everyone!

Whether you’re looking to toss an axe, race a dog team, or find a loonie in a haystack, we’ve got an event for you. Best of all, almost every event is FREE!

So, what are you waiting for?! Come experience a true carnival atmosphere, with over 25 events happening in a square kilometer, you’ll be calling Thaw di Gras Spring Carnival before it’s over!

2. Yukon school in the running for My Parks Pass competition

Who do you think should win Canada’s Coolest School Trip? Vote daily from March 2 – March 30! Your vote could help a class win a 5-day all-expenses-paid trip to Parks Canada places in Quebec to visit La Mauricie National Park and the national historic sites in Québec City.

The Social Science class at Robert Service School has made a video about the Dawson Historical Complex National Historic Site. The class currently has over 5,000 votes, and is in the top ten classes nationwide.

3. AFY - Recontre Histoire et patrimoine - 19 Mars

Cette rencontre, ouverte à toutes et à tous, est un espace pour partager vos idées et vos connaissances sur divers sujets en lien avec l'histoire et le patrimoine des francophones du Yukon. Nous vous encourageons fortement à participer lorsque le sujet vous intéresse.

4. TIA Spring Conference - April 16-18, 2015, Dawson
The Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon (TIA) is holding their annual spring conference in Dawson from April 16-18, 2015. The theme of this year's spring conference will revolve around storytelling, with an emphasis on cultural tourism. TIA has lined up a great set of workshop facilitators and keynote presenters, including Ron James, Inga Petrie, and Dale Jarvis.

5. Spring Job & Volunteer Fair - April 23rd, Whitehorse
Registration is now open for the annual Spring Job & Volunteer Fair. This year's Fair will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 10am-4pm at the Yukon Convention Centre in Whitehorse.
