News for Prospective Students

Read through our newsletter to learn about the latest that the University of Saskatchewan (USask) has to offer prospective students and school counsellors.

Open House is Friday, September 27

Join us for Open House on Friday, September 27!

Open House is our annual event for prospective students to experience life as a USask student. Prospective students will:
  • explore our campus and facilities
  • participate in hands-on activities
  • meet university staff and faculty
  • speak with current students about the USask experience
This year, students can choose three or four sessions to attend out of more than 60 options. We encourage students to register early to get their top choices. The Open House Info Fair in the afternoon is another great opportunity for students connect with programs of interest.

Counsellors and parents

Open House also features special programming for school counsellors and post-secondary coordinators, as well as special programming for parents. Parents will learn how to help their child transition successfully to university and why USask is a great place for students to learn, grow and be what the world needs. Counsellors will hear from college representatives, admissions and scholarship experts about why students should apply to USask and what’s new this year in terms of admission requirements and application deadlines.

Registration is now open for this free event! Student registration is open until Monday, September 23 at 12 pm (noon). Parent and counsellor registration is open until Thursday, September 26.
