Hello everyone,
Summer has finally arrived! It took a while but now it's time for sun cream, BBQs and cold beers :-)

The July/August newsletter has lots to keep you entertained. Check out our latest blog; 8 Things the Dutch find Rude (do you know what they are?) for tips on what not to do in the Netherlands.  Our upcoming workshops (The Dutch Business Environment: Essential Skills for Success & The International Business Environment: Essential Skills for Success) will enable to be fully effective working in a multicultural environment. The tip of the month will help you feel more positive about your new living and working environment. Finally there's great reading in the articles section (Lovepats, magical places to visit in the netherlands, crazy bicycle lanes from around the world and Dutch words that every foreigner uses even if they don't speak Dutch).

There's lots of fun stuff on over the summer. The events guide has links to the Amsterdam gay pride festival, the Edam cheese market, Tour de France (in Utrecht!), North Sea Jazz festival, De Parade theatre festivals and much more.

Happy Reading!
Caitríona

Tip of the Month
Make a list of everything you like about the Netherlands
We tend to spend more time reflecting on what we don’t like about a particular country than what we do like. We often become fixated with the negative instead of focusing on the positive.

So… if you’re old fashioned take a pen and piece of paper… for the modern generation start typing.. and make a list of everything you like about living in the Netherlands. It doesn’t matter how small or insignificant it may seem, you don’t have to show the list to anyone.

This little exercise is great for getting you thinking about life here, and focusing on the positive rather than the negative. Try it out and let us know what you think!
