Time for change, Art Lovers!

Something I enjoy around tax time is tallying my annual achievements. This year I'm going way back to the first newsletter in 2014. Here are the numbers from those formative years that taught me so much.

31 Gallery exhibitions
28 Events created/hosted
15 Classes taught
6 Curatorial projects
4 Museum exhibitions
3 Solo exhibitions
3 Films made
3 Grants awarded
2 Art awards
2 Artist in Residence positions

Now it's time to narrow my focus and make decisions that will facilitate the changes I want to see in my career. Concentrating on a new body of work and researching new exhibition spaces are goals for 2017.

The Courtyard Gallery in Mystic will continue to show my work regularly, but I have very few other exhibits lined up this year. That will change as opportunities come up that mesh with my goals. You can stay in tune with the process through this newsletter, Instagram, Facebook and Youtube.

More pics,
as promised!

The following photos were taken by Mattias Lundblad at the Blacklight Garden art installation in New London, CT. Thanks to the SECT REGI Grant, and help from regional artists, this crazy idea became a full-scale reality!

Thanks to everyone who brought the Blacklight Garden to life! The weather and other unknown factors make these events a big challenge. It's your support that makes them a success. See February's newsletter for a list of collaborators.
