The Lunar New Year celebration is one of the largest and most important celebrations in the Korean/Asian community, symbolizing the start of a new year according to the lunar calendar. Typically, this time of year revolves around fun family reunions, traditional food such as tteokguk and jeon, and ceremonies to honor ancestors. It is also common to wear colorful costumes such as Hanbok and children even bow to their elders to receive money!
