Thanks to a generous donor, last week we launched our Food Giving Initiative with seven local Korean restaurants to feed our survivors and their children in response to the food insecurities our families are facing during this unprecedented time. Culturally and ethnically familiar meals will be provided as part of our combined efforts to support the vulnerable population that the Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC) serves.
“I was so hungry.” - Ms. K
She started crying the moment she picked up her box of groceries donated through the partnership with the Office of the Queens Borough President and FreshDirect.
Over the past seven weeks the challenges have only increased for survivors like Ms. K and her children. KAFSC needs your help today on #GivingTuesdayNow to continue to provide emergency relief of cash assistance, food, and basic necessities to ensure that our survivors and their children find hope to sustain them past this time of certainty and back on a road economically empowered and free from violence.
Please join us in supporting resilient survivors like Ms. K today! We need your support to ensure that our Food Giving Initiative can continue into June and beyond. You can make a difference in the lives of these survivors and their children by making a donation here:https://kafscgive.givesmart.com/
