The Buried Moon Virtual Spiritual Retreat

We are so excited to begin this virtual spiritual journey with over 50 of you scattered across the globe. Beginning Monday, March 30th, we will be sending you emails Monday thru Friday with writing prompts, arts practices, and reflections.
Each week we will focus on a section of the ancient celtic myth, 'The Buried Moon', embracing archetypes, dreams, and story in order to explore our own inner narratives. Sharon Blackie, Irish psychologist and author, writes that exploring myth in this way leads us to, "understand our purpose in this life, weave ourselves back into the land where our feet are planted, and come to feel a sense of belonging to this beautiful, animate Earth in which we are so deeply enmeshed."
In the next few days we encourage you to prepare for this retreat-both externally and internally. Retreat kits are in the mail, and if you opted to use your own materials there is a supply list below. We also encourage you to prepare a special space in your home for 'retreating' and to look over the weekly outline and create designated time in your daily schedules for retreat activities. If you are able, spend a few moments setting internal intentions for this retreat as well. We are holding each of you in our hearts as we prepare for our time together and looking forward to exploring this new form of spiritual exploration and connection with you!

Creating Space

An essential part of 'retreating' while at home is to create intentional space that feels sacred, designated, and distinct from your ordinary routine. This can be a small corner of your desk, a part of your shelf, a nightstand by your bed, etc. Spend time this week creating a special space with objects you cherish in preparation for our retreat.
