The past of Brabant will come alive during Brabantsedag with a parade and events creatively reimagined for today’s world! Each Brabantsedag has its own unique atmosphere, parade floats, and theatrical performances.

In September, this newsletter will launch a new section to promote local organizations. This is your chance to get involved and help spread the word throughout the international community about inspirational organizations (or people). All featured organizations will be added to Holland Expat Center South's website, so let’s keep our community informed: media@hollandexpatcenter.com

Geert Niland (International Theater Collective) is a writer and director in and around Eindhoven. He has written and directed more than 100 theatrical plays. He is also the artistic director of the International Theater Collective Eindhoven, the only English language theater collective in Brabant.

Gisi Cannizzaro (HLE Network) connects language communities in the Eindhoven region. Through Heritage Language Education Network, she promotes educational native language programs for multilingual children and helps make the Eindhoven Library more inclusive by helping expand the International Children’s Book Collection.

Located on the Kraaijenbergse Lakes, the ‘t Loo Recreation Park is a year-round campsite and marina bursting with different activities. Visitors can play water sports, hike, birdwatch and, of course, camp. For more information check out VisitBrabant!

Teargas and dogs break up farmer protests; blockades continue
Dutch police used teargas and dogs to break up some farmer protests on Monday night, gave around 200 fines and made several arrests.

More space at Eindhoven Airport for travellers from outside Europe
With the expansion of the terminal, Eindhoven Airport will have more space to help people from outside Europe. The airport is in the process of securing a possible loan of 55 million euros with the province.

The Dutch housing market has taken a downturn in confidence, according to multiple economic indicators.
