The ‘Lichtjesroute’ (Route of Lights) is an annual tradition that begins on 18 September in Eindhoven. The purpose of the Route of Lights is to perpetuate the memory of the liberation of Eindhoven at the end of World War 2, depicting 'remembrance' and 'freedom'. Read more

Latest sign of recession as purchasing managers’ index records falling activity
The Dutch purchasing managers' index (PMI) has dropped below the crucial level of 50 for the first time in two years, strengthening fears that a recession is imminent.
