The Breda Jazz Festival will celebrate its 50th edition this year. It is the oldest and largest four-day jazz festival in the Netherlands (and Europe) with free admission for everyone! For more information (in Dutch language only), check out the festival’s homepage.


Tanya van Workum (5Pro Mobile) is originally from Ukraine and has lived in the Netherlands for more than 10 years. Together with a team of 50 software engineers in Ukraine, 5Pro Mobile develops mobile apps for Dutch companies. To support Ukraine, she started Stichting Djakoejoe, which has helped to raise money for a military hospital in Ukraine.

 


Ihsan de Jong is an educator who works as an integration teacher at Basten Trainingen in addition to teaching human resource management and Psychology at Fontys Hogescholen. He is enthusiastic about helping the international community connect to Dutch society and the local labor market. He wants everyone to feel welcome and engaged in Eindhoven.

Dutch inflation steadies at 9.6% as food and duel soar in price
The Dutch rate of inflation remained virtually unchanged in April at 9.6% when calculated according to Dutch methods, the national statistics office CBS said on Tuesday.

Niuewe Fellenoord residents not happy with Kruisstraat closing
