BLACK (AND ORANGE) SALE BEGINS THIS WEEK

We'll offer our biggest savings of the year, starting this Thursday at midnight through midnight Sunday. Visit our Journal and join our mailing list to receive updates on this and all future sales. Any other questions? Give us a call at +1.256.760.1090 M-F from 8:00am 4:30pm CST. Please remember that we practice lean method manufacturing with our hand sewn garments, which means no products are made until an order is confirmed. Some of these garments can take up to six weeks to arrive to your door. Good things take time, so plan ahead.
THE HALF SKIRT
Our Half Skirts have quickly become a favorite style from Collection #29 for their unique design; they enable you to add variety to your wardrobe with just one piece. The skirts wrap and tie around the waist, in a style similar to that of an apron. Layer on top of your favorite dress or skirt—or mix and match two for a complete, full skirt. The Addison, Scarlet, and Rosanne Half Skirts feature beading that can dress up your look for evening. And our Shelby and Hattie Skirts have patch pockets for practical use. Learn more about the Half Skirt on our Journal

HOST A PARTY

Our newest offering through The School of Making, Host a Party, gives you the opportunity to host your own sewing gathering (with a few perks along the way). With Host a Party, you will organize a group of 6 or more friends and provide a location and refreshments. You and your group will choose one garment style—with difficulty levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Each group member can choose their own size, fabric color, and stencil design. As host, you will receive your kit for free, in exchange for providing sewing instructions and hospitality. Each of your guests will receive the selected kit at 20% off the original price. Meet as often as you'd like and enjoy the power of making in a group setting. Host a sewing party by contacting us at workshops (at) alabamachanin.com
NEW WORKSHOP: CHATEAU DUMAS
We're excited to announce our Weeklong Workshop Abroad at Chateau Dumas in France from August 6 – 13, 2016. Mark your calendar and pack your bags for a week in the French countryside, working on your sewing project and enjoying the local culture. There will be plenty of classic French meals, sightseeing, market visits, and a day of natural dyeing with woad (a blue dye dating back to medieval times). Visit here for more information and to learn how to register. Please note this workshop has limited availability.

CAFE NIGHTS + STAMMTISCH

In October, we began hosting a Sip + Sew on the second Thursday of each month from 5pm 7pm. This meet up is similar to our First and Third Mondays sewing group, but offered during evening hours. And as part of our extended hours, we introduce Café Nights with select programming each month. Natalie will be hosting a monthly Stammtisch (German for Regular's Table) during Café Nights—the Fourth Friday of each month. Join her on November 27th for the next get together. And Zach will be mixing up specialty cocktails on select Thursday evenings. View our online Calendar for a listing of monthly events. A section of our Events page is dedicated to Events @ The Factory and includes all upcoming events.
CHEF'S CORNER @ THE FACTORY
In addition to daily beverage service, we also have a curated selection of wines available by the bottle through The Factory Store. Our wine selection is a part of our growing Chef's Corner, which features provisions and goods for your kitchen like our coffee by the pound, house made marshmallows and granola, and our famous pimento cheese. We also stock Georgia Olive Farms Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Bull's Bay Sea Salt, Tippleman's Ginger Honey Syrup, Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Tonic and bitters, and more of the best products for your pantry. Visit us at The Factory for the latest selection.
