Oakland pioneer doubles residential pipeline with three new projects

Madison Park Financial Corp., developer of Oakland's only market-rate housing project in 2014, is planning to build three additional projects with a combined budget of $88 million.

The projects double Madison Park's residential pipeline to six projects valued at roughly $200 million.

The demolition—which will cost $160 million— could also create a large dust cloud over the Bay. Caltrans plans to create an 'air curtain' around the pier using pipes blowing compressed air into the water, but you'll probably still want to take precautions if you plan to anywhere near the detonation site.
