Would you be happy living in a skyscraper and never going outside? It sounds depressing or perhaps dystopic, but what if that skyscraper contained everything you enjoyed about the outside world, like the beaches and the forests?
Walnut Creek-based investment firm Vertical Ventures bought Eastmont Town Center's 541,390-square-foot office portion. It is 75 percent leased to tenants including Alameda County, the Oakland Public Library and Planned Parenthood. The Oakland Police Department also operates a station that was part of the sale.
